A Book About Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino is one of the most distinct directors in the industry, as shown in his placement in the TIME 100 list of the most influential people. His films are unmistakable and his strongly-written characters come to life in front of us; we love to experience each one's rich authenticity.
Naturally, a director with such a notable technique has characteristics and shooting styles that carry over from film-to-film. This book pays homage to Tarantino's breadth of work, highlighting the rise of his success and celebrating the films that keep inviting us back for another look.
I constructed the briefcase using leather upholstery, plywood, a dremel, a saw, and a large amount of super glue. This enclosure pays tribute to the briefcase featured in Pulp Fiction, one of Tarantino's most loved films. The briefcase features functioning clasps.
The book features original illustrations of both Tarantino and the characters of his films. The primary typeface is Rockwell to mirror Tarantino's type choices for title typography. The type in the book is angled and off-kilter, reflecting the unpredictable and aggressive nature of his movies.
